Theory of writing

I haven’t written many essays, even my native language. I graduated from high school in Korea, but I rarely write essays in Korea. So when I first chose this class, I was worried and scared. Can I understand this class well? Can I get good grades? I’ve thought a lot of these things. I came to the United States in January this year. It is not easy for me to understand the classes now. In fact, I felt this essay class was more difficult. Because I did not write much in English and I did not even know mla or apa format at first, so I kept asking my friends. I went to the army four years ago and one of the most memorable is my diary. I have kept a diary from the day I joined the army to the day I left the army. At first, these moments were so amazing and I wanted to record every day. I think I wrote diary almost everyday for 2 years. Later, I read my diary and remembered that time. I write a diary sometimes but not everyday from the first time I came to the United States. I can’t see the military diaries because I forgot to bring it. Recently, I saw a diary that I wrote in January and it helped me. I wrote like this. ‘I think that someone should sacrifice small things for getting big things. The big thing is studying at US. Therefore, I can not see my parents and friends who live in Korea. However, it is not small thing.’ I am still trying to keep a diary sometimes. I really want to record every day and these things will definitely help me or help me a lot later. I think writing is one of the most necessary things in life. Because there is no major that does not need to write in any major. I feel that I am engineering and do not need to write many essays, but I need basic writing skills. I think writing is a necessary skill in 3rd or 4th grade projects, resumes, and work. I still think I am not good at writing but this is my first step. And I will certainly be good at writing later on.  The sure thing was more difficult than my major to me. But when I was in trouble, my professor always explained and understood me well. So I think I could finish this class well. And obviously this class was very helpful to me and I learned a lot.
